Ground‑wire toughened glass insulator, also known as earth‑wire type disc suspension toughened glass insulator, is specially developed for overhead transmission line ground‑wire (earth wire) system. It provides electrical insulation between overhead ground‑wire and metal tower, meanwhile bears mechanical tension from ground‑wire, wind load, ice‑coating and line vibration. When lightning strikes ground‑wire, it enables lightning current discharging to tower; under normal operation, it isolates ground‑wire from tower to implement ground‑wire insulation mode for line anti‑lightning performance improvement. Typical models: U70CN, U100C (main strength grades 70 kN, 100 kN)。
